What is CBD hemp oil?

There is no plant more versatile than the hemp plant. Almost every part of the plant is used mainly for industrial purposes. There are two different oils made from the hemp plant: CBD hemp oil and Hemp seed oil.

1) Hemp Oil

Hemp oil is extracted from the hemp plant itself - usually from the stalks - for its CBD content. This is what we call “CBD hemp oil or CBD hemp extract.” Hemp oil extraction can be compared to olive oil extraction. After extraction, the oil contains CBD - this is the main element - but the oil has many more cannabinoids and compounds like; essential terpenes, chlorophyll, flavonoids, minerals, fatty acids, and other non-psychoactive compounds. We call this “full-spectrum CBD hemp oil.”

To maintain the EU legal requirements, CBD hemp oil must meet the limit of less than 0.2 percent THC.

2) Hemp Seed Oil

Like other plants, the hemp plant grows seeds in its lifecycle. After harvest, the hemp seeds are collected from the hemp plants. This is when the extraction process begins, and the hemp seed oil is extracted from the hemp seeds. Generally, hemp seed oil contains a very low to no CBD - Cannabidiol - or other cannabinoids. Still, hemp seed oil is an excellent source of essential vitamins, minerals, and flavonoids, and above all, hemp seed oil contains the perfect ratio of fatty acids.

What is CBD hemp oil made of?

Here at Phyto Plus, our hemp oil is derived from the hemp plant species named “Cannabis Sativa.” This is the most common hemp species that naturally contain CBD. Aside from CBD - Cannabidiol - the hemp plant contains more than 100 other natural cannabinoids.

The cannabis strains referred to as hemp is commonly used to make CBD hemp oil and are very low in THC level (this is the psychoactive compound that will make you high).

However, the cannabis plants that are referred to as marijuana contain high levels of THC. This is the type of cannabis with psychoactive effects if you digest it or smoke it. Therefore this type of cannabis is illegal in most countries.

We can guarantee you that PHYTO+ CBD Hemp Oil is completely legal, as it contains minimal THC. Our products meet the Dutch legal standard of less than 0.05 percent THC.

Is CBD hemp oil the same as CBD oil?

Yes, this is the answer regarding our Phyto Plus CBD Oils. For the production of all our PHYTO+ CBD products, we use the hemp plant - Cannabis Sativa - which only contains a trace amount of THC, less than 0.2%.

Whether oils are made from CBD hemp extract or CBD isolate (crystals), the compound CBD is the same in all CBD oils. CBD is CBD. Still, since quality is the most crucial factor for a good result in CBD oil use, it makes a massive difference in the kind of cannabis strain used to produce premium quality CBD oil.

A cannabis plant can be either high in CBD (Cannabidiol) or in (THC) Tetrahydrocannabinol. CBD and THC are each other's opposites. If the cannabis strain is rich in the THC compound, then it is low in CBD and vice versa. As a result, you are left with a CBD oil rich in THC, thus with psychoactive capabilities and illegal status in most countries.

What does CBD hemp oil do?

We, all humans and mammals, have an endocannabinoid system (ECS). CBD hemp oil interacts with our body through our endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system is an extensive system that consists of chemical compounds and receptors. Your endocannabinoid system looks after your body’s general state of balance (commonly referred to as homeostasis). They collaborate to maintain homeostasis - this is the balance of your body and mind.

So, the phyto-cannabinoids in CBD hemp oil replenish your endocannabinoid system.

CBD hemp oil - cannabinoids - corrects functions that are slightly out of balance, such as your appetite, mood, immune response, pain, and sleep, in order to keep us feeling pleasant and balanced.
